Kobs, Sylvia Ann (Marriage - 26 Oct. 1935)
Sylvia Ann Kobs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aug. F. Kobs, and William R. Stacke, son of William Stacke, were married at the Lutheran parsonage at Dorchester, Wisconsin, Rev. J. Brandt reading the marriage ceremony, Saturday, Oct. 26th, at 2:30 o’clock. Dorothy Kobs, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, and the groom was attended by his brother, Walter A. Stacke.
The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of wine transparent velvet with hat to match and her bouquet consisted of rose buds and solonias. The bridesmaid wore a dress of dark green velvet with hat to match and her bouquet also consisted of rosebuds and solonias.
A wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated with cut flowers for the occasion. A wedding dance was given at the Abbotsford armory which was largely attended by relatives and friends.
The newlyweds will make their home on the groom’s farm in the town of Hoard.
